Vegan Brunch & Golden Pups

Catching up over a coffee and brunch dish is my favourite thing to do. My best friend Keely and I regularly have our catch up over brunch. We love to try new places and put the worlds to rights. Our recent venture was to tick somewhere off my ongoing list- The Longhouse on London road.

The interior was giving me all kinds of inspiration. I’m moving out of my flat in July and hopefully getting a new place in the Autumn so I’m back on the interiors hype, constantly scrolling through Pinterest. It’s a really light, bright and open cafe full of plants and funky wall art. The vibe was really chilled and the staff were lovely as well.

They allow dogs so we bought a little Lenny with us. They even had their own dog in there, which I always love. It was quiet when we went on this Wednesday morning but it picked up as we left.  The menu is simple yet has something for everyone; A full English, pancakes, a breakfast burrito and lots of options for topped toast.

For drinks, I went for an oat milk cappuccino. I LOVED the mugs they get served in, although I think the size was slightly smaller than an average coffee. The oat milk was steamed perfectly and I love how they serve oat milk as the standard and you only pay extra for soy, coconut or almond.

As always, I struggled to choose a meal. I ended up going for the standard avo on toast as I wasn’t overly starving. It was massive! The bread was crunchy and the avocado was seasoned perfectly. It was served beautifully- not much more to say there! Keely went with the breakfast burrito (everything’s vegan BTW) which had scrambled tofu, beans, avo and spicy mayo.

After breakfast, the sun had come out so we wandered through the lanes on the way back home.  We stopped off at a few shops on the way, including a vintage one where I snagged a nice oversized shirt for £5. We also popped into Photomatic, our fave place.

I had such a lovely morning, with many more to come in the Summer. Bring it on..
