January: A Roundup.

Back in the day of the blog, I used to write monthly roundups of all the beauty and lifestyle bits I’d been loving. I really enjoyed it and I thought I’d bring it back. I’ve been neglecting the blog recently and I feel bad, so here we are. January has been a weird one, like every year. I still haven’t started uni yet so I’m just slopping around without a real routine. This has allowed me to do some nice things and get cracking with lots of uni work! My goal for the month was to get back into my healthy lifestyle after Christmas and I think I’ve done it. I’ve managed to tick 2 things off my 2019 bucket list already so I’m doing well so far. Here are a few things I’ve been enjoying…

USING…

The first thing that pops into my head is the Lowengrip Self Tan Drops, which have been a miracle. You mix 2-5 drops with your night cream and I swear to god you wake up like you’ve been on holiday for a week. It’s been making me so much more confident without makeup, highly recommend! Another thing I’ve been enjoying is the Fenty Beauty gloss bomb which is a lovely lip gloss perfect for making your lips look juicy. Not too sticky and a beautiful, universal shade.

LISTENING TOO…

Of course, we’ve been BLESSED with a few new Ariana releases this month. Personally, I prefer ‘Imagine’ over ‘7 Rings’ but they are both insane and the aesthetic of both is incredible. I love the message behind ‘Imagine’ and I find it the perfect counterpart to ‘Thank U Next’. I’ve also been adding a lot more songs to my ‘vibey‘ playlist, which is full of more chilled tunes. One that’s standing out to me is ‘About You’ By XXYYXX. It’s a fairly niche tune, a lot different to what I usually listen to (aka, the Heathers soundtrack). I also can’t stop singing the very well loved ‘idontwannabeyouanymore’ by Billie Eilish.

EXPLORING…

As I said before, I haven’t had uni this month so I haven’t had a regular routine. I’ve been going on a LOT of walks to pass the time and found some great new spots. I went to Mile Oak Farm for the first time which was lovely and been going on a walk most days. Taking a book, a dog or a camera on a walk makes the perfect way to spend a morning. I also went to Arundel this month with Megan and Beckie which was so lovely. It’s a lovely, quaint town perfect for wondering.

ENJOYING…

I started using a gratitude journal this month. Each morning it asks me to write how I’m feeling, what I’m grateful for and what would make the day great. Each evening it asks me to reflect on this and write great things that had happened today. It’s been a really nice way to wake up and a great way to set intentions. This is the one I use but there are loads out there. I’ve also been enjoying reading this book recently, which is unusual for me as I’m not much of a reader. It’s called ‘A Sky Painted Gold’ which is a Great Gatsby-esque story about a girl gets invited and welcomed into the local society. I’m loving it so far!

WEARING…

Although I’m itching to get back into a summer dress, I’ve been making the most of wearing cosy knits. I recently got sent this amazing pink cardigan from Nobody’s Child and I LOVE. I never usually wear pink but it’s becoming one of my fave items. I actually have a discount code for 20% off: NCXGEORGIA20 . I’ve also got myself a new bag from Swanky Swans. It’s very high end looking in my opinion and it’s the perfect size for day to day stuff. I loveeeee.

Thank you so much for reading and tune in next month for another roundup…
