Brunch At The Ivy, Brighton.

Well well well, isn’t this fancy? I was very excited when I head that ‘The Ivy’ was coming to Brighton with its gorgeous food, stunning interiors, and celebrity guest lists. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of this branch and these guys know how to put on a party. I drank champagne, hung out with Fat Boy Slim and even had a lovely chat with my fave journalist- Sali Hughes. Last weekend I went back to The Ivy to sample their brunch offerings. We were greeted by the lovely staff and taken to our seats.

In terms of drink choice, we were offered teas and coffees and also a juice. I went for an Americano, which is fail-safe. It was served beautifully with hot steamed milk which I REALLY appreciate. The other girls I was with really enjoyed their teas and I know there were plenty of choices. For juice, I went for a green juice. I was really yummy! It was cold and fresh which is all I can ask for. We had a selection of pastries to go with our coffee and I swear to God I could have eaten the whole cake stand full #selfcontrol

Next up is the good stuff. The selection for breakfast was fairly limited but I know their full menu is extensive and their brunch menu is even bigger. There will be something for everyone. I went for the eggs royal. I feel like this is a good way of testing a restaurants quality. The eggs were cooked to my liking and the salmon was a great portion size, I find some places can be stingy. The lemon makes all the difference and I really hate when places forget about this tiny detail! You can really taste the quality and I loved it.  I really enjoyed my meal and was extremely satisfied after. I’d love to try some more of their dishes, the pancakes looked insane.

I really really enjoyed my time here. The attention to detail is incredible. The monogrammed tea towels and table wear are so gorgeous. You need to visit this place even if it’s to have a little peek at the interiors. The toilets are the most incredible in Brighton, RedRoaster eat your heart out.  The staff were all lovely, polite and not to mention very attractive! The Ivy is perfect for a Sunday brunch, weekday lunch or Saturday date night. I cannot wait to return and make my way through the menu, cocktails included. Thank you so much to The Ivy and FUGU Pr for having me.
