Fatto a Mano, Hove.

There’s a pizza place in town that I haven’t tried. WHAT?! I finally got round to going to Fatto A Mano in Hove and it was just as good as everyone told me! I much prefer this kind of pizza; authentic, thin and yummy. I’m absolutely loving reviewing restaurants at the moment and what could be better than one that sells pizza? Let’s take a look…

I’m into it. I think this place would probably come alive in Summer when it’s streamed with light. The seating area out the front is so lovely, with beautiful tiles and cute chairs and tables. The place is a lot bigger than I thought, with an upstairs and downstairs also. It’s really nice inside, but not exactly an ‘Instagram haven’ that some people look for. I LOVE that you can see into the kitchen, it’s always a good sign. The location is perfect as the parking is cheap and it’s not in the centre of town!

As I was driving, I had to be picky about the one drink I choose. I went for an Aperol Spritz as I’m looking for a little bit of Summer in my life right now. It was very yummy, maybe a little bit too small. They also had a decent selection of wine and fizz. My friend got a coffee and that also looked really nice as well. I can’t wait for Summer so I can sit out the front there with a cocktail.

On to the good stuff- the pizza. The menu, for me, was a lot better than another sourdough pizza chain in Brighton (you know the one) as there are options for vegans, veggies and celiacs! I was stuck between 2 pizzas but I went for the veggie special which consisted of goats cheese, sundried tomatoes, fior di latte and olives. It was so so nice. I much prefer the thin, authentic base with the big fluffy crusts. The goat’s cheese was creamy and rich, the perfect amount on the pizza as well. I opted for a red base (classic tomato) but they offer a white base which is without- I find these too sickly sometimes! Everyone else’s pizzas looked great as well and there were clean plates all around! I can’t wait to return in the Summer to enjoy an Aperol Spritz and a Caprese salad.

O V E R A L L

I really enjoyed my time here. The menu was easy to navigate, the staff were friendly, the vibe was chilled and the pizza was good. That’s all I ask for! The interiors were really nice, clean and open. There were lots of ‘mmmm’s going on around the table- always a good sign. I’m going to say it’s possibly the best pizza I’ve had in Brighton and I will 100% be returning. If you find yourself in the Hove area, pop in. I saw the churros on the dessert menu and salivated slightly so I’m going to have to try them as well!

Thank you so much for reading! I’d love to know what your pizza order is, let me know.

Those pizzas look delicious! It’s good that they have a veggie option and I’m not sure if I love an Aperol spritz or hate it haha. They get you drunk though haha
