I have a slight obsession with interiors and I can easily spend 5 straight hours on Pinterest, scrolling through drool-worthy homes. As I’m still living at home, I’m limited to a number of things I can change in my space- one room doesn’t exactly fill my creativity. I cannot wait till September where I have a whole flat to decorate! For now though, I can make some simple changes every few months to keep things fresh. Read on to find out what they are…
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had the same prints and posters in my room for as long as I can remember, just in different locations. I recently wanted to switch things up! The prints you can see next to my bed and on my wall shelf are by the amazingly talented Jordan at her company ‘Au Contrere Ma Mere‘ ( try saying that with a croissant in your mouth). She has some stunning Pinterest worthy designs that I cannot wait to fill my house with. The delivery was fast and great quality and I’m really impressed with my prints. I’ve got my eye on the new limited edition ‘everybody loves the sunshine’ print for my bathroom! I framed them in a gold frame but I’m on the look out for a poster hanger- I love how simple it is. Thanks so much Jordan for sending these prints- I’m in love. At £12, you can’t go wrong.

So who doesn’t like candles? Especially brand new, mouthwatering candles. My favourite kinds of candles are the ones that come out in autumn- pumpkin, cinnamon, caramel MMMMM. Seeing as it’s summer, I’ve gone for a year-round approach. The first candle I’ve started burning is the ‘Sleep Sensation‘ by Skye Candles. It’s one of those drowsy, spa scents that relax you instantly. If you’re not into lavender, no fear. It does contain it but it’s almost disguised with the freshness of grapefruit. A great one for a peaceful bedroom.
I also love the Sandalwood and Patchouli scent. Since visiting the RedRoaster cafe in Brighton I’ve wanted to get my hands on something Patchouli scented, as they pump the toilets with the stuff! This candle is the perfect transition into Autumn (my favourite time of year) as it’s so warming and sexy!
In every interior magazine and article, they mention bringing nature indoors and adding greenery to your space. I’ve gone for a slightly lower maintenance approach with fake plants, easy to care for cacti and flowers from the garden. Cacti are really easy to look after, just don’t water them too much! I got this fake gypsophila from Poundland and I think it looks so chic in this gin bottle!
Also, I noticed that on most of my Pins, there was some kind of hanging plant or Ivy. I got this artificial English Ivy plant from Amazon and I love it! It does look slightly fake but I don’t really mind. When I move house, I think I’ll put it in my kitchen!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Keep you eye on my Instagram for lots of interior updates.
