There’s a new dog groomers in town and being an owner of 4 babies I had to go along and see what all the fuss was about. With Bobbi, my half chihuahua half poodle, in tow we waltzed up to St James street for a pamper sesh.
We first went for a coffee at Red Roaster which is a fairly new cafe and I’ve been meaning to go for so long! (Side note, Bobs didn’t have a coffee DUR) I loved it in there, the interior is very LA and the menu is even better
We then headed to the salon and we were greeted by Ben and his lovely little dog Dennis. The shop looked like a standard pet shop with some decent stuff and great prices. However at the back was a very clean, stylish and modern salon.
I love the branding of the establishment but I think the inside and front desk could be modernised a little.
Bobbi went for a trim, wash and blow dry which included the full treatment of an ear and eye wash as well. He also got his nails clips and anal glands sorted out (gross but important) this service is around £35 depending on the size of your dog. Here is a photo of Bobbi before and after….
We left Bobbi in the safe hands of Ben , who I think he very much liked. When we came back I could have cried tears- my little boy looked so handsome! He usually has fairy long, light brown hair but he came out with beautiful velvet smooth hair and the most stunning bushy tail. Can you tell how much I love my dog?
I was very much impressed with the service in terms of attention to detail and how much you can tell Ben loves his job! One thing I would say to improve on, like mentioned before, is the initial view as you walk in the room and the reception area. You can tell they have spent a lot of time and effort on the branding, website and salon section but the shop section doesn’t seen quite as beautiful (I’m not saying it’s bad, just think it should match the rest of the aesthetics)
I couldn’t quite believe how much Bobbi was at ease. He is usually very neurotic and on edge but it was lovely to see him relax and enjoy a pamper sesh- I will be bringing his lovely sisters to try it soon. I highly recommend checking it out if you have a little pooch you want to pamper!
I was kindly invited to visit BoneIdol and for Bobbi to get his treatment. As always, my opinion is 100% my own. No affiliate links or sponsorships in this post. Thank you to BoneIdol, Ben and Helen for a lovely experience.
