I’m back with another makeup post! It’s been a while but I feel I’ve finally got something to talk about. The last 3 months or so I’ve been wearing the same lip combo and I’m obsessed! Read on to find the 2 products giving me ‘just filled by the doctor’ vibes.
So if you read my blog or follow me on social media you might know that I’m making a conscious effort to not shop from brands that test on animals. I have 4 dogs-imagining one of them with chemicals shoved in their eyes makes me very sad indeed. HOWEVER saying this I’m about to contradict myself massively. This lipstick, by MAC, was one the first more high-end makeup pieces I got and I’m not throwing it out- I LAAV IT. This being said, I haven’t spend money on a brand like this in ages.
So disclaimer out the way, let me tell you about the shade. It’s called Honey Love and ngl, I didn’t love it at first. I thought it was a bit too ‘foundation lips’ for me now I’m obsessed. It’s a peachy, natural toned nude that’s quite pale- but not too pale. I love it, it’s such an MLBB (my lips but better, get to know) shade.
MAC Honey Love is £16.50 and you can buy here
this photo is me wearing JUST the lipstick…
Are you a gloss person? Probably not, because hardly anyone likes them anymore. At the moment, there’s a massive trend for matte liquid lipsticks that can sometimes look drying and ageing. I’m all about bringing back the gloss, as long as it’s not sticky and too ‘teenager’. This one by Laura Mercier is perfect and it adds the most beautiful, natural sheen to the lips. It’s in the shade Bare Baby, which is a slightly irredessant pale pink which compliments Honey Love perfectly.
Laura Mercier Bare Baby Gloss is £19.50 and you can buy here.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed learning about my fave nude lip. I’d love if you could pin the image below on Pinterest!
