MooGoo Review: Products For My Psoriasis

As you know from reading my blog, I have psoriasis and suffer with it every day. I am constantly trying to find products that help soothe and control my dry and itchy skin. I’ve tried plenty of brands, from 100% natural to the very clinical brands from chemists. MooGoo popped into my inbox the other week and I have been lucky enough to try some of their amazing products, which cater for psoriasis, eczema and sensitive skin.

The brand was created in Australia where a mother, who looks after cows, found that the product used on the cows udders to soothe them – really helped her skin condition! That’s the basis of the brand and they pride themselves in being extremely environmentally friendly, natural and organic.

MILK SHAMPOO* AND CREAM CONDITIONER*

As someone with a very sensitive and dry scalp, even the most ‘natural’ products can leave it feeling gross and tight. The shampoo, like most others that don’t contain nasty sulphates, doesn’t foam up very well but still does a good job of cleansing my hair. My hair felt soft after, but not stripped and matted. It smells like a beautiful baby shampoo, which is my favourite part. The conditioner, as the name suggests, is very creamy and coats my hair in nourishment. It contains jojoba and olive oil, which is great for the hair and scalp.

These come in lovely 500ml bottles with pumps which is so handy to keep on the side of the bath/shower. These products, although not the most high tech and savvy, are lovely on my hair and really nourish my poorly scalp. If you suffer from scalp issues or simply just want to take a more natural alternative to hair care-check these out.

IRRITABLE SKIN BALM

This is my favourite product from MooGoo so far that I have tried. The word balm to me reminds me of greasy solid oils that melt onto the skin and stay there for ages (which I enjoy, don’t get my wrong) and I know many people would hate that idea. This, however, is more of a gel cream with a slippy feel. It sinks in so well and comforts my skin INSTANTLY. The psoriasis on my arms have improved over the last few days of using this- which is unheard of.  Thank you MooGoo for creating a product that might give me confidence to show skin!

FULL CREAM MOISTURISER*

This is the brand’s hero product. It’s a beautiful, soft, emollient cream that glides over the skin and makes it feel soft and looked after. It’s very softening to the skin and I can imagine very soothing to burnt, angry, red skin. I have been using this as my morning body cream as it’s slightly lighter in texture than the balm. The two in conjunction are a dream!

MOOGOO MILK WASH*

This is the shower gel/cleanser from the brand. The thing that I like the most about this product is that it was initially designed as a face wash but was put in a big bottle for use as a shower gel. This shows how gentle the ingredients are- great for my sensitive skin! It feels really luxurious on the body and washed off well, leaving my skin not feeling tight.

I have really enjoyed using everyhitng from this brand, I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite picks! The irratable skin balm will be on my list to repurchase. I saw they do a bigger size so I’ll have to get that next time.

Thank you so much to MooGoo for sending me your lovely prodcucts.
