Skincare Review: AA Skincare Frankincense and Rose Range

I’m back again, after a short break of being very uninspired, with a skincare post! I love reviewing a whole range as you can really see how they work off each other. I’m here today reviewing a range from AA skincare, which is one of my favourite natural yet affordable brands. If you’ve never heard of them check them out. All the products are very affordable, easy to understand and they do the trick.  So, lets dive into it…

First of all, £5.94 is amazing for a cleansing gel. Usually, I go for a balm or an oil as they really nourish the skin as the remove the makeup. This one removes makeup really well but it leaves my skin feeling slightly more taught than a gel (not dry or stripped, just not AS nourished). This is perfect for a morning cleanse or for someone with slightly more oily skin. It contains aloe vera, rose and geranium to cleanse and nourish the skin.

I love a good face mask and I much prefer the ones in a pot. I can’t get on board with the sheet masks, they aren’t economical and they’re a pain to use. This is a classic mud/clay mask and it makes my skin really soft. With masks, I use them more as a pamper as opposed to a skin changing treatment. This one is perfect as its easy to use, you can leave on for quite a while and it’s cheap!

If you’ve read my blog you know I like a spray toner. I like using them after cleaning and acid toning. I also use this as my makeup setting spray, it takes away the powdery finish and adds a glow. I love the smell of this, it’s rose (dur) and smells very classic and old fashioned. I can’t say it’s changed my skin but it feels lovely and adds a layer of moisture.

Another great price from AA skincare. This is a lovely, hydrating cream that can be used day and night. It’s probably mu favourite product from the range. It’s comforting enough for me to use under my makeup in the harsh winter winds ( storm Doris, I’m looking at you) and also enough for me to layer with a serum at night time.
