It’s officially Winter time. The time where it’s okay to stay in bed till 11 am, eat an entire advent calendar in one day and where you can spend a little more time in the evening getting cosy. I love having a nice evening routine to help wind down and pamper, especially in the colder weather. Here are some small ideas to incorporate into your night time.
Bath Who doesn’t love a bath?! I like to make a little bath cocktail with all of my favourite products. I’ve been really enjoying the Bramley Bath Salts * (£12) which smell so lovely and fill my bathroom with the aroma. For something softening I like my Ren Bath Oil (£30). Shower gel wise, I either use the Dove Shower Oil (£4.99) or my beloved Lush Snow Fairy (£7.95), which smells like Christmas to me as it only comes out this time of year.
Environment I like to take the time to make my room feel really cosy and warming. I really enjoying dropping Lavender Oil (£1.99) in my Air Humidifier (£21.99). I also enjoy lighting a candle, this one is from New Look. I love lighting shit loads of fairy lights, bundling my bed up with loads of blankets and rewatching Rupauls drag race season 6 (for the 100th time). What ways do you relax?
Cosy Drink Whether it’s a glass of Rioja, a mulled wine or a fancy hot chocolate I love a nice drink in the evenings. Here is my fave mulled wine recipe: 1 bottle of red wine ( I like cabernet sauvignon or pinot noir) , a carton of orange juice, cinnamon sticks, all spice (or just use mulled wine sachets), apples, oranges, nutmeg and any other spices you like! Put all in a saucepan and gently heat- DO NOT BOIL.
Skincare I love taking care of my skin so I thought I’d include a routine I’ve been liking recently. I cleanse with the marvellous Rossi Uvema Cleansing Oil* (£14.75) then using my Nip and Fab Glycolic Pads* (£7.45) to get rid of dead skin. I finish with my Melvita Rosehip Oil* (£21) and I’m ready for bed.
I’d love to hear the ways you relax and I’m always on the lookout for new natural beauty brands <3 Let me know in the comments….
