Christmas Lips: Under £10

NOT LONG NOW BITCHES! I can’t wait to eat my weight in pigs in blankets and give my family the presents I spent my overdraft on. This week I can imagine a lot of you are going for Christmas parties and events this week and I thought I’d give you some ideas for lip products you can treat yourself too! All under £10…

Sidenote: how cute is the snow on my blog?!

RED Some people are so scared of red lips and I get it- I used to think it drew attention to my mouth and made me feel kinda self-conscious. However, over the last few years I’ve really got into it- especially a great bright orange toned one!  Pair with a glittery eye or just some fluttery lashes. I’ve tried a few reds and here are some of my favourites:

Kate Moss Rimmel 01 This is a great one for those who prefer a more vampy red, slightly darker than the conventional Marylin red. I love the formula of these lipsticks, my favourite shades are: 08, 107 and 03.

MAYBELLINE COLOUR DRAMA 520 This one is a stick, like a crayon. Very similar to the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Crayons, they add a lovely amount of colour and dry matte. These, along with the previously mentioned Kate Moss, are my favourite affordable lipstick formulas. This red is lovely, with slight cherry undertones. Try 630 for a great nude shade.

NUDE A nude is great for this season as it’s a lot less high maintenance and can go very well with a glitter eye (comment if you’d like a blog post on glittery makeup) Everyone has a nude that they love, here are some of mine…

Sleek Sheen Lipstick Liqueur This one is beautiful for a sheer wash of colour, maybe layered over a lip liner? Great to pair with a strong eye or for a natural day time look. It’s a true nude that would flatter anyone with a light-medium skin tone. Shoutout to Em for giving me this for secret Santa, love you!

Kate Moss Rimel 03 So good I mentioned it twice. These lipsticks truly are great and this shade isn’t mentioned much! 08 is the one everyone talks about and although it’s amazing- 03 is just as good. It’s more of a peachy/orange toned nude rather than a purple. Makes a nice change from the Kylie Jenner classic purpley nude’s of the world.

Let me know any lip colours I should try this festive season…
