August Roundup

Woah, it’s nearly September! The month where I move out of Brighton, Autumn slowly starts and I finally think it’s acceptable to start listening to Christmas music. But this post is all about August. I think we had one of the hottest months of the year and it was a corker (also very sweaty). Here are a few things I’ve been loving in August.

Beauty

Orange toned lips I’ve been really enjoying going for a fresh, summery makeup look (blog post to come with ALL the deets) I was scared of bold lipsticks for so long and thought I only suited those Kylie Jenner nudes but I was so wrong. An orangey/peachy toned lipstick is so flattering and really brightens up the face. A few products I love are the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Morocco (£5.50) and the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Watemelon Slice  (£14) , which I’ve actually miss placed- is it acceptable to cry over a missing lipstick?! I also really like the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Sexy Sienna.  (£23)

Coconut Oil This one has been a long time favourite but recently It’s really come into use for me. I recently ran out of my cleanser and I didn’t have a backup. Instead of buying a new one I used what I already had, so I’m currently using coconut oil. It’s such an efficient makeup remover and leaves your skin so soft. I’ve also been using this as a body oil. I like this one here  (£4.99)

Lifestyle

Summer walks This month, for some reason I’ve been on so many walks with my family and/or my dogs and I’ve loved it! I’ve been to a few different parks and beaches in Brighton and it’s been really enjoyable. I find it really calming and really clears your mind. It’s also really nice letting my dogs socialise with other dogs too!

Interior planning You may or may not know but I’m moving to Chichester in September to study Musical Theatre at uni! I’ve never moved house before so I’m so excited about having a new room and starting from scratch. My halls at uni have yellow walls, so there’s really not much I can do with this but I’ve set myself a task to make it the best space I can. I’ll be doing a before and after blog post on that in a month or so!

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Candle I’ve had this one in my stash for ages and I’ve finally started burning it. I keep it next to my bed and when ever I get a whiff I LOVE IT!!! it’s such a unique scent and when it’s burnt it fills a whole room.
