Nailed it

Today’s post is about something I have never spoken about on this blog- NAILS. I’m one of those people who hate painting my nails, it really frustrates me as it only chips on the same day.

Here’s a few treatments I like to get done to my nails…

Acrylic

I’ve recently been getting acrylic (I know, I know- they’re bad for your nails) but only two sets at a time. Choosing where to get your nails done is all down to recommendations. You can spend £5 and get a shit job or £40 and get amazing nails- and visa versa. In Brighton, I go to exclusive nails on Portland road as I always get a fast service for a low price. I’ve never had any issues.

Shellac

I love shellac for holidays and special events. It’s a gel manicure cured by UV light that is designed to last around 3 weeks. My nails are useless and I can normally get 2 weeks. I’m lucky enough to have an auntie who does my nails for me but I’ve heard Daisy’s nail bar on Preston street is good.

Stick on nails

I LOVE stick on nails for a quick fix that’ll last a week or so ( they do fall off so carry glue). In my experience, primark and elegant touch do the best shapes. I buy professional glue though to make them last longer. Try not to pull them off (I’m defo guilty of this) as it’s bad for your natural nails.

Nail care

If you want to get the most out of your shellac/acrylic/manicure you’ll need to carry on caring for them when you get home. Cuticle oil is always lovely as it nourishes the nail from the bed and helps it grow strong. I like the one by CND, a professional nail company, as it smells like almonds. Hand cream is also essential, I always have one in my bag. The body shop and L’Occitane do great ones with loads of scents.

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading a little bit more about my nail preferences.. Let me know in the comments your fave colors and places to get your nails done! All my love…
